Between the dates 13^th and 15^th of April 2016, Mr. Eken visited Jamaica. While his visit, Mr. Eken had chance to meet with Hon. Lester Michael Henry, CD, MP – Minister of Transport & Mining; Senator the Honourable Kamina Johnson Smith – Minister of Foreign Affairs & Foreign Trade (MFAFT); Ambassador Paul Robotham, CD, JP – Permanent Secretary, MFAFT.

Also he visited JAMPRO and Jamaica Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Eken as a DEIK (Foreign Economic Relations Board) Chairman of Turkey-Central America and Caribbean Business Council signed an MoU agreement with Jamaica Chamber of Commerce, Inc in order to deepen the business ties between Turkey & Jamaica.

Mr. Eken had dinner with Grantley Stephenson, President of Jamaican Consular Corps.

Mr. Eken had meeting with the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr. Eken as a DEIK (Foreign Economic Relations Board) Chairman of Turkey-Central America and Caribbean Business Council signed an MoU agreement with Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc in order to deepen the business ties between Turkey & Barbados.

Mr. Eken also made courtesy visits to the several Ministries in Barbados.

Between the dates 2^nd and 8^th of April 2016, Mr. Eken visited St. Kitts and Nevis. Mr. Eken had meeting with St. Kitts-Nevis Chamber of Industry & Commerce, Inc. Mr. Eken as a DEIK (Foreign Economic Relations Board) Chairman of Turkey-Central America and Caribbean Business Council signed an MoU agreement with St. Kitts-Nevis Chamber of Industry & Commerce, Inc in order to deepen the business ties between Turkey & St. Kitts and Nevis.

Mr. Eken also met Dr. The Hon. Timothy Harris, Prime Minister; the Hon. Mark Brantley, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

At the National Palace, H.E. Danilo Medina Sanchez, President of the Dominican Republic, was awarded with the FICAC Gold Star, the highest FICAC Honour in recognition of the excellent work of world leaders and awarded to heads of States/Governments.

During Mr. Eken’s visit, Mr. Eken met with Minister of Industry and Commerce, José del Castillo Saviñó; Minister of Energy and Mining, Edgar Mejía; Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic, Mr. César Dargam.

During his visit; Mr. Eken attended a meeting with Costa Rica Chamber of Commerce and Importers Chamber in Costa Rica. As a DEIK (Foreign Economic Relations Board) Chairman of Turkey-Central America and Caribbean Business Council, Mr. Eken & CCC has signed an MoU in order to deepen the business ties between Turkey & Costa Rica.

Mr. Eken attended the meeting with the Guatemala Export Agency and met with the Minister of Economy of Guatemala H.E. Ruben Morales Monroy during his visit. As a DEIK (Foreign Economic Relations Board) Chairman of Turkey-Central America and Caribbean…

TCA President G. Lincoln McCurdy accompanied President of FICAC, Aykut Eken to meetings during his visit to Washington, DC. Eken met with a staff member of the Subcommittee on Europe, Asia, and Emerging Threats of the House Foreign Affairs Committee; Phil Kosnett, Director of Southern European Affairs at the U.S. Department of State; and Turkey Caucus Co-Chair Congressman Ed Whitfield (R-KY/1st).
