The Honorary Consular Corps Diplomatique – India celebrated “Consular Day and New Year” on 10th January, 2016. On this occasion Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Hony. Consuls and Officials of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of Iindia were present. During the function, Hon’ble mr. K.L. Ganju, O.C.V.C., Consul General (HY.) of the Union of the Comoros and Secretary General of the HCCD – India was awarded the 2nd Bhai Mohan Singh Memorial Trophy for his role as an Hony. Consul General and also his contribution to the consular movement in India and abroad. On this occasion, Hon’ble Mr. Suresh Vaswani, Hony. Consul of Benin in Bangaluru as Vice President of HCCD – India was declared as “Consul of the year” and awarded with the trophy.
