Our President and the Members of our Board were delighted to hear that Monaco has been designated to host the upcoming World Congress of Honarary Consuls and Consulate Associations which will take place next 11, 12 and 13 November.
Our Association wishes to express its deepest gratitude for the confidence expressed upon it by the World Federation of Consuls in attributing to us the organisation of this World Congress, which coincides precisely with the thirtieth anniversary of FICAC.
In view of the importance and world-wide impact of this event, the Association of honorary Consuls of the Principality has joined forces with all the facilities that the Principality has to offer with regard to the organisation of Conferences, hotel accommodation, welcome and reception and expertise for such occasions. We are today proud to count among our partners, some of the most prestigious institutions: La Société des Bains de Mer, Conress and Tourism Head Office, The Philatelic Issue Offices, the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco and many others. The prestigious bank HSBC being our official sponsor.
However it has also given us immense satisfaction to see how well this project has been received by the State Institutions and in particular by our Sovereign Prince and His Government.
In a letter dated 25th July 2011, the Sovereign Prince informed us that consequently to our request: “He accepted that this event be placed under His High Patronage and that He will take part in the opening of the Congress“.
