It is with deep sadness that the FICAC Board of Directors received the news of the passing of Hon. Leif-Kristian Sverstad on Saturday, the 24th of June 2023.
Leif-Kristian Sverstad, who held the esteemed positions of honorary consul of Yemen in Norway and President of the “Consular Corps Norvège” for many years, left an indelible mark on the world of consular service.
Leif-Kristian Sverstad’s dedication to his role was exemplified by his election to the Board of Directors of FICAC in Monaco in 2012. He served the World Federation of Consuls with unwavering enthusiasm until 2022, fulfilling the roles of Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of various committees. His contributions to FICAC will always be remembered and appreciated.
The FICAC Board of Directors extend their heartfelt condolences to Leif-Kristian Sverstad’s spouse Bente, his entire family, and the “Consular Corps Norvège.”
