What an exciting and fruitful day we had. We were treated to hear fantastic speakers in this Conference, starting with the inspiring address of our President, Hon. Arnold Foote, as ably read by our Secretary-General, Hon. Aykut Eken.

On 3rd October, 2013 at a glittering function held at International Law Society premises Mr. K.L Ganju, O.C.V.C., Consul General (Hony.), Union of Comoros in India was awarded with a “GOLD MEDAL” and “NATIONAL GOLD STAR AWARD” by Indian Solidarity Council in association with International Institute of Education and Management.

It is indeed a pleasure to be with you today for the inaugural ceremony of the 2nd South Asia Regional Conference of the World Federation of Consuls (FICAC).
I am humbled and deeply appreciative that H. E. Hon. D. M. Jayaratne, Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka, has discerned the importance of the occasion and taken the time to add his presence to declare our 2nd South Asia Consular Conference officially open.
