Tamgha-e-Imtiaz & Order of Merit

I am the Hon. Consul General of Republic of Yemen in Karachi Pakistan since January 2006 and present Dean Consular Corps Sindh Karachi (CCSK), a representative body of Honorary Consuls in Pakistan. Done Masters and Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA).

I have the pleasure to be associated with FICAC for the last 13 years, attended 1st FICAC Africa Consular Conference, Accra Ghana in 2008 and have the honor to be elected on Board of FICAC as Director three terms. Worked in different capacities on various committees and developed excellent relations and understanding with the fellow colleagues to contribute to FICAC. Consular Corps Sindh Karachi Pakistan hosted FICAC BoD meeting in Dubai on February 2010 and our colleagues treasure the memories of the event.

With regards to my business, I am Chairman Baig Group, a multinational conglomerate operating in Pakistan, UAE, Morocco and UK in diversified commercial and industrial activities including Textiles, Denim Fabric, Power Generation, IT, Digital-Imaging, Real Estate Development and Health Care Services.

I am the author of eight books on Economy on the current national & international economic issues and also published biography “A Limitless Pakistani”.

The President of Pakistan has conferred prestigious Civil Award “Tamgha-e-Imtiaz” in recognition of my contribution to the National economy as well as President of Yemen awarded Civil Award “Order of Merit” in recognition of my contribution to enhance trade & investment between Yemen & Pakistan. Also received Gusi Peace Prize Int’l in 2018.

Considering my rich experience and close association with the incoming administration of Hon. Nikos Margarpoulos and Hon. Asif Chaudhry as director on BoD FICAC. I request you to kindly support my candidature as Director in the forthcoming World Congress of Consuls to be held in Limassol Cyprus 6-9th November 2022 for the consistency of FICAC policies.
