Climate change, Environment Committee

Chairperson: Hon. Venceslava Yanchovska

The purpose of this Committee is to guide the initiative of cooperation between the UNDP and the World Federation dealing with promoting awareness of the effects of climate change. Its operation is to create regional and international awareness of the program.

Security and Consular Privileges Protection Committee

Co-Chairpersons: Hon. Okatakyie Boakye Danquah Ababio, Hon. Basilius Jabaly

The Security and Consular Privilege Protection Committee will work with members to ensure the enactment of the privileges in line with the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations 1963.

Art and Culture Diplomacy Commitee

Chairperson: Hon. Gonul Eken

The purpose of this Committee is to bring cultures of the world to members’ countries and present them to the general population of the Receiving State.

Charitable Agreement and Events, World & Regional Conferences Committee

Chairperson: Hon. Mehmet Aykut Eken

The purpose of this Committee is to organise and stage events of the World Federation of Consuls such as awards ceremonies, annual meetings.

Fundraising Committee

Co-Chairpersons: Hon. Asif Chowdhury, Hon. Purrshottam Bhaggeria

The purpose of this Committee is to raise funds required to operate the organisation by developing and implementing fundraising programmes.

International Relations and International Institutions Committee

Chairperson: Hon. Mehmet Aykut Eken

The purpose of this committee is to bring cultures of the world to members’ countries and present them to the general population of the receiving state free of cost.

Green Diplomacy Committee

ECOSOC Committee

Chairperson: Hon. Charmagne Garcia-Laconico

This Committee is responsible for coordinating with UN policies in order to promote and advise its Members on higher standards of living.

Education & Relations with Universities Committee

Co-Chairpersons: Hon. Mehmet Aykut Eken, Hon. Prof. Stelio Campanale

The Education Committee’s purpose is to advise members on available educational programmes which satisfy their needs to increase effectiveness.

Legal Committee

Chairperson: Hon. Borislav Boyanov

The purpose of the Legal Committee is to protect FICAC from lawsuits, develop policies and procedures for dealing with legal issues.

Mediation Committee

Co-Chairpersons: Hon. Victor Melamed, Hon. Evi Avlogiari

The Mediation Committee focuses on laws, practices and procedures relating to the mediation, conciliation, and negotiation of transnational disputes.

Public Image and Communications Committee

Chairperson: Hon. Elias Nikolakopoulos

The purpose of this Committee is to create international media awareness of FICAC by managing relationships with media, Governments and the private sector.

Trade & Economic Development Committee

Regional Chairperson for South Asia: Hon. Pradeep Shrestha

Regional Chairperson for the Gulf countries: Hon. Nasir H. Schon

The purpose of this committee is to promote cross border business, trade development and networking amongst members.

Relations with Chambers of Commerce and Industry Committee

Maritime Committee Committee

Chairperson: Hon. Costas Georgiades

The Marine Committee’s primary focus is to significantly enhance maritime safety, security and the quality of the marine environment by addressing human element issues to improve performance.

Women in Diplomacy Committee

Chairperson: Hon. Nathalie Mimoun

The main purpose of this committee is to promote the role of Women in Diplomacy and to represent FICAC to conferences and meetings focused on the role of Women.

Health Committee

Chairperson: Hon. Prof. Dr Raja Aghzadi

The purpose of the Committee is to oversee, and drive improved performance in, the strategies, policies, working practices and performance of the Organisation in relation to health and safety, ensuring these at least meet or exceed legal obligations, with the objective of promoting the well-being and safety of the Organisation’s Members and others affected by the Organisation’s activities
