FICAC PRESS RELEASE
FICAC is an international Federation advocating peace and conflict resolution by the UN standards.
Although FICAC historically has always avoided commenting on geopolitical issues, it is with great concern and sadness thet we follow the armed conflict in Ukraine that costs the life to so many civilians, including children, and has caused hundreds of thousands of refugees leaving Ukraine.
We stand by Ukraine’s suffering people and by the fellow Consuls who, heroically, keep their posts in this tragic situation, and we call for the immediate termination of this armed conflict and for a diplomatic solution of the differences between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
On the 9th of March, 2022, in Thessaloniki, Greece, President of FICAC, Hon. A. Eken, and Secretary General of FICAC, Hon. N. Margaropoulos, met the President of the Governing Board of the International Hellenic University (IHU), Prof.em. Dr. Athanasios Kaissis, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding for collaboration between the International
Hellenic University (IHU) and the World Federation of Consuls (FICAC).

The scientists have reported, and I quote “Climate change – once considered an issue for a distant future, has moved firmly into the present”.
