Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis’s, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris’ Annual Gala Event, which was held on Saturday, January 7th, 2017 in the Grand Ballroom of the St. Kitts Marriott Resort, attracted a large, diverse turnout of well-wishers, friends and supporters.
President of FICAC, Hon. Aykut Eken and Honorary Consul of St. Kitts and Nevis Hon. Gönül Eken was invited to this prestigious event.
In his welcome remarks, Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris struck a conciliatory and hopeful tone tinged with patriotism and pride. Dr. Harris noted the diversity of the attendees and explained that all of them had more in common than perhaps they thought.

The new President of ACONBRAS, Hon. Luiz Fernando Del Valle, was congratulated by FICAC President, Arnold Foote, at a very successful meeting in Sao Paulo, Brazil on 16th April, 2015. Also present in the photograph are Past President of ACONBRAS, Hon. George Antoine, FICAC Secretary General, Hon. Aykut Eken, FICAC Directors, Hon. Costas Lefkaritis, Hon. Sylvain Cohen and Hon. Thomas Amaral Neves, along with Consul General of the Dominican Republic in Sao Paulo, Hon. Geomar Garcia and others. The President of ACONBRAS, Hon. Luiz Fernando Del Valle, pledged his Consular Corps’ full support for the World Federation of Consuls and looks forward to working even closer with the Federation.
Most people of my father’s generation remember exactly where they were on November 22, 1963, when President Kennedy was shot. For me and my generation, most will remember exactly where they were on September 11, 2001.
