The 4th FICAC East Asia Regional Conference was held in Penang, Malaysia at the G-Hotel. The excellent organization of this memorable conference assembled by the Honorary Consular Corps of Malaysia.
H.E. Tun Dato’ Seri Utama Dr. Haji Abdul Rahman Abbas, Governor of Penang; The Right Honorable Mr. Lim Guaneng, Chief Minister of Penang honored the conference by their presences. The Honorable Dato’ Sri Reezal Merican Bin Naima Merican, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. P. Sundramoorthy and Professor Dr. Jomo Kwame Sundaram were at the Conference as speaker and delivered their speeches to the attendance.

Hon. L.-K. Sverstad delivered his speech about FICAC Trade and Economic Development Committee as Chairman of the Committee. Hon. Chowdhury, Co-Chairman of Membership Committee made a speech about Honorary Consuls’ history and privileges. Lastly, Hon. Gonul Eken, Co-Chairwoman of Women in Diplomacy Committee made a speech about her Committee and their activities so far. All speeches can be found in the attachment.
FICAC President, Hon. Eken with the FICAC Board of Directors presented a plaque to the Honorary Consular Corps of Malaysia for the excellence of their hospitality and gave some souvenirs for day of remembrance.
