On the 28th of November, 2016, The Honorary Consular Corps Malaysia hosted the 5th FICAC Board of Directors meeting and the 4th FICAC East Asia Regional Conference: both meetings were held at the G Hotel, Penang Malaysia.

During the meeting in Penang, more than twenty Consuls were attending the FICAC East Asia Regional Committee Meeting: they were travelling from the Philippines, from Indoncsia, from Thailand and from Malaysia.

The FICAC East Asia Committee unanimously decided to appoint Hon. Dato’ Shaik ısmail Allaudin, Secretary General of HCCM (Malaysia), as President and Hon. Ayub Junus, President of AHCI(Indonesia), as Vice-President of the FICAC Eastern and South-Eastern Asia Region.

The President of FICAC wished all the success to the new President and to the new Vice- President of Eastern andnSouth-Eastern Asia Region.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Hon. Aykut Eken, expressed his gratitude and thanked Hon. Vince Carlos for the excellent and so fruitful work he achieved as Chairman of FICAC Committee for the Eastern and South-Eastern Asia Region.

During his mandate he successfully managed to organize 4 conferences and 5 meetings:
· 2007 First East Asia Regional Conference and First Regional Committee Meeting in Bangkok,Thailand
· 2010 Second East Asia Regional Conference and Second Regional Committee Meeting in Manila, Philippines
· 2012 Third Regional Committee Meeting in Hong- Kong
· 2013 Third East Asia Regional Conference and Fourth Regional Committee Meeting in Surabaya, Indonesia
· 2016 Fourth East Asia Regional Conference and Fifth Regional Committee Meeting in Penang, Malaysia

Hon. Aykut Eken would like to ask to all Chairpersons of Regions and Committees to follow him as so good example.
