Hon. Baron Ernest de Laminne de Bex, Honorary Consul of Georgia in Belgium and President of “Cercle International Diplomatique et Consulaire” (CIDIC), organized a Cocktail at his Ophem Castle for FICAC Directors and Observers to meet with CIDC Members and several resident Ambassadors in Belgium, accompanies by their spouses.
The President of FICAC presented a plaque to Hon. Baron Ernest de Laminne de Bex, to commemorate the excellence of his hospitality.
CIDIC was founded in 2010 at the suggestion of many diplomats who shared their concern about the need for greater efficiency in establishing economic and academic contacts that are nowadays increasingly important in the exercise of their functions. This trend is now called “Economic and Academic Diplomacy”.
CIDIC Members represent the institutions present in Brussels, actors in the political, economic, academic, industrial, artistic and cultural world. Many of them represent Embassies, Chambers of Commerce and multinational companies established in Belgium.
CIDIC fosters improved awareness and common activities among decision-makers in these different spheres through DEA Missions (Diplomatic-Economic-Academic) to the countries presiding on a rotating basis the Council of Europe, thematic conferences and receptions.
