On the 15th of March 2016, President of FICAC, Hon. A. Eken, did a courtesy visit to former President of FICAC, 2000 – 2003, Hon. Peter Gad Nashitz who was organizing a memorial concert for his recently deceased wife, Nechama, who was a great friend of the World Federation of Consuls: Ilya Rashkowsky, laureate of the former Rubinstein Piano Competition, which Hon. Nashitz was presiding, participated to this concert.
At the memorial concert, Hon. A. Eken remembered to the attendees the full support of Mrs. Nechama Naschitz towards her husband Hon. Peter Gad Naschitz during his mandate as President of FICAC, 2000 – 2003:
Dear President Peter,
Dear Family’s Members,
Dear Friends,
Our friend Peter was President of the World Federation of Consuls, from 2000 until 2003, and, during his mandate, he achieved a lot to upgrade our federation to an international recognition.
If Peter was highly appreciated for his active and fruitful role of President, all the Members of the World Federation of Consuls are also aware his dear wife Nechama was fully supporting him all along his mandate.
Today, on behalf of the Board of Directors and all the Members of the World Federation of Consuls, I wish to express our sincere and endless gratitude to Nechama, who was a great friend of the World Federation of Consuls. All of us, we are deeply sad and we will missed her.
At the occasion of this memorial concert, through my presence, the Board of Directors and all the Members of the World Federation of Consuls, we are sharing your sadness and expressing our sympathy. We will never forget Nechama and we will remember the happiest moments we enjoyed in her company.

Hon. P.G. Nashitz kindly organized a meeting with the Board of Directors of the Consular Corps of Israel in his office and he gave the opportunity to Hon. A. Eken to explain his projects for the comings months. Hon. A. Eken also reminded that Hon. Peter Gad Naschitz was the one who, as President of FICAC, co-opted him to become a Member of the Board of Directors, in 2000.
Following the proposal of a Colleague from Israel, supported by the General Director of the Protocol, it was decided to organize a visit of the Consular Corps of Israel to the Consular Corps of Turkey, followed by a reciprocated visit of the CC Turkey to the CC Israel later on.
