In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vienna Convention, the ICC (Istanbul Consular
Corps) organized a conference with Hon. Mehmet Samsar, General Manager of the Directorate of Consular Affairs of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that was held on Tuesday, 6 May 2014 at the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus Hotel.

This very successful event was attended by 50 career and honorary consuls representing Afghanistan, Albania, Argentina, Austria, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bolivia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Brazil, Cambodia, China, the Cook Islands, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, Gabon, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Jamaica, South Korea, Kuwait, Madagascar, Mali, Malta, Moldova, Oman, Pakistan, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Poland, Qatar, Russia, St. Kitts and Nevis, San Marino, Seychelles, Singapore, Slovakia, Somalia, Spain, Tunisia and the United States.

The conference was followed by a dinner with Hon. Mehmet Samsar and Hon. Kenan Ipek, the Representative of the Min- istry of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic in Istanbul, which was hosted at the residence of Hon. and Mrs. Aykut Eken.
