US Congressman Alcee Hastings was recently presented with the FICAC award of appreciation by FICAC president, the Honourable Arnold Foote, and FICAC directors Hon. Aykut Eken and Hon. The Consular Corps of Jamaica hosted a Press Conference at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel on Wednesday, January 7, 2004, to announce that Jamaica has been chosen as the venue for the 8th World Congress of Consuls in 2006. Speaking at the Press Conference, the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Hon. Aloun N’Dombet Assamba, said that her Ministry “wishes to express its pleasure that Jamaica has been chosen to host the 8th World Congress of Consuls in 2006”.
