At the presentation ceremony held after the FICAC Director’s meeting held in Limassol Cyprus on 25th April 2009, Past President H. E. Andreas Mavrommatis received the FICAC Silver Star, the highest Consular Honour of the Federation, from President Hon. Arnold Foote. The Board of Directors of the World Federation of Consuls unanimously decided to give recognition to Past President Andreas Mavrommatis for his excellent contribution during his Presidency to the development of the Federation. Past President Andreas Mavrommatis thanked the President and members of the Board for the honour given to him stating that it was deeply appreciated by him. He wished the World Federation of Consuls continued success and congratulated the Board of Directors on the excellent progress made by the Federation.
The Government of Turkey and I are delighted that the 11th FICAC World Congress of Consuls will take place on November 18-22, 2015, in Istanbul, Turkey. Istanbul, located on two continents, is the country’s economic, cultural and historical center and is a unique crossroads between east and west.
