FICAC the World Federation of Consuls had their 1^st Latin America Regional Conference, at Honduras, San Pedro Sula, from August 31^st -September 3^rd 2023.

The Conference was organized by the Consular Corps Association of San Pedro Sula (ACCS), and was attended by Her Excellency Iris Xiomara Castro Sarmiento, the President of the Republic of Honduras, His Excellency Eduardo Enrique Reina, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and other Honduran dignitaries.

During the Conference, FICAC President Nikolaos K. Margaropoulos and members of the FICAC BoD awarded the President of the Republic of Honduras, Her Excellency Iris Xiomara Castro Sarmiento with the FICAC Gold Star, and the citation read:

“This citation recognized her excellency onbeing the first woman to be elected as president of Honduras and her life for achievements as a leader for women rights, social development, environmental conservancy and her invaluable support to the honorary consuls in Honduras”.
